Our process for buying
With several years of experience under our belt negotiating in both public and private sectors, we’ve reinvented the buying process – making it as easy and stress-free as possible for YOU.
So how does our process work? It’s easy!
1. Initial Meeting
Before we begin looking for homes, we’ll meet (in-person or virtual) and discuss your needs, wants, love-to-haves, and deal-breakers. We’ll work together to identify the type of house, neighbourhood, and budget that would be the best fit for you. Consider it a date! The better aligned we are, the better I can fill in the blanks and make housing suggestions to suit you. Sometimes buyers overlook a gem based on poor listing photos alone. Using a customized web portal, I’ll send you handpicked homes that are currently listed for you to choose your favourites, which will give me a much better idea of what appeals to you. Often homes that aren’t on the market will make the tour as well; another benefit of working with a well-connected REALTOR®!
Once I have a better idea of what you’re looking for, we can either visit homes in-person or I can conduct private live virtual tours for each property you’re interested in. After viewing all of the homes on your shortlist, you’ll be able to pick which offer the best value and what items on your “must-have” list are most important.
When you find your home, we’ll work with you to write your offer. As part of that offer, I will include several conditions to protect you and your investment. I’ll explain all to you, and guide you through the process. Price is only one of many important conditions on your agreement of Purchase and Sale. All signatures can be done electronically and discussion of offer terms can be done via video call.
We’ll work with you until closing day, ensuring the home and offer are carried out as per the contract.
5. After closing
Our goal is to be your REALTOR® for life. With that said, our relationship with you extends well beyond the sale, and the team is here for you to lean on and to answer any questions you have throughout your time as a homeowner.
